This is an opportunity for participants to learn why stages of second language acquisition are important and what their instructional implications are, to know how to apply the instructional strategies for ELLs in K-12 mainstream classes, to begin to build the school's/district's capacity to provide Classroom Instruction that Works with English Language Learners workshop to other educators in the school or district, and to learn and practice skills necessary; to establish high standards for professional development in order to deliver Classroom Instruction That Works with English Language Learners with quality, fidelity, intensity, and consistency.

Registration is required but there is not a fee. Registration includes workbook, facilitator's guide, breakfast and lunch. These workshops are targeted to Service Centers, teachers and administrators who have English Language Learners and who are interested in delivering the workshop material to others in their district. Participants do not need to have an ESOL endorsement. Please register online prior to the deadlines in order to ensure that sufficient handouts and meals are available. Registration for each workshop is limited to a maximum of 60 participants.
