Schools should send personnel responsible for overseeing the DE-99 process, the reimbursement process, and course instruction. Changes to the DE-99 have been made. New driving laws have been passed by legislature. There will be a review of procedures for a lost certificate of completion, updating and aligning curriculums to State Standards, auditing do's and don'ts, state reimbursement information, and, as always, information concerning legislation. This year will also include the major changes to the GDL law which goes into effect Jan. 1, 2010. Attend to keep current and receive the latest information necessary to offer a state recognized driver education course.
- Registration begins at 8:15 AM. A continental breakfast will be provided.
- Regional meeting starts promptly at 9:00 AM and ends at 12:00 PM.
- Registration fee is $7.00 to attend regional meeting of your choice. Please mail payment (and indicate which meeting you will be attending) to: Joan Peterson, Driver Education, Kansas State Dept of Education, 120 SE 10th Ave, Topeka, KS 66612. You may also pay at the meeting.
